About Me

I was curious about essential oils, so I did some research and decided to plunge in by purchasing the Young Living Premium Starter Kit. One of the first things I tried was diffusing the trio of lemon, peppermint and lavender. It really helps to clear the sneezing, sniffling, coughing and itchy, watery eyes that are seasonal to some, but year round for me. I also use the blend Panaway or Peppermint topically, across my forehead and on my temples, for those really bad weather-change headaches. I’ve since branched to make my own facial products, which work better than the scores of product lines I’ve tried for adult blemishes. I love trying the recipes posted on the Hello Essentials website.

My husband and I both know the joys and challenges of owning our own businesses. We have two terrier-ists, Bess and Bailey, who keep us hopping, as well.

My Favorite Oil

It’s really hard to pick one favorite oil. I’d have to say that Stress Away is my favorite essential oil blend. I use it every day on my wrists and behind my ears, sometimes more than once a day. My favorite single essential oil is lavender. I diffuse it every day and use it to make relaxing bath salts and moisturizing spray lotion. I also put a drop of lavender and cedarwood in my mascara, shampoo and conditioner for growth and thickening.

First Oil Success

I fell head over heels for essential oils the first time I diffused the lemon, peppermint and lavender trio and swiped Panaway across my forehead. We were experiencing a significant change in the weather, complete with tornado watches, and I was able to breathe better and rid myself of a headache that would have had me reaching for nasal spray and pain relievers.
